Class pictures
Here are the boys' class pictures. Notice Theo's class is heavily boys (ok, almost all boys), while Jack's class has more girls. I think these are great pictures. Our tall boys are on the top rows :)

Fun Day
Jack and Theo had their Fun Day at school today. Both kids performed with their classes and did great! Theo came with me at 9 am to help set up and got to do everything before the gates even opened! Jack had his first baseball game today and didn't show up at Fun Day till right before 2 pm. I was DONE by then (it was hot in that bright sun) so I let him play until 3 :) The book I made for PPK fetched $80 for the class auction and Theo won a car kit from the raffle.

PPK popsicle party!
Tomorrow is Fun Day and Theo's class really worked hard this week learning their song and dance. The other room mom and I learned last week that we must come armed with bribes or else the 15 little 4 year olds will start to run wild!! Today I surprised them with a popsicle party since the past two practices have been GREAT. They loved their treat :)

Theo's new 'glub"
I've tried everything I can think of to curtail Theo's near-constant finger sucking. A friend of mine ordered the thumbuster for her son and that got me thinking about something similar for finger suckers. This strange glove is just right. It covers his index finger and middle finger so that he can't easily get it off and cheat. He can do everything he normally does, minus hand washing. Sanitizer will be a staple for a while, I suppose. He's going to wear it round the clock till the habit dies off. Hopefully before summer!!!
Baby Michael
Baby Handsome has been renamed to Michael. Theo plays with Michael most mornings and Michael often rides to school with us. I take care of him all day while Theo is in school :) Here the boys are clipping Michael's nails before school.

Row Your Boat
The boys' school has Fun Day on Saturday and each class performs a song/dance. The room moms usually are the ones who choreograph and teach the dance, so guess where I've been these past 2 weeks? :) Raymie (the co-room mom with me) and I have finally figured out the best way to contain 15 four year olds outdoors. We gave out candy treats to the loudest singer and most hard-working child each time we practiced. We'd keep going until everyone got a prize :) Go PPK!!
They also got to sign their names in a class book that has pictures from each party and event this year. Poor little Owen turned his "w" into a "m"...... kinda changes his name.....

Cousin time
I got to visit cousin Anne and baby Molly yesterday. They leave to go back to New Mexico on Saturday :( Katie sent me these pictures from Amelie's baptism last weekend. Meredith and Patrick are the godparents. Love those two little cousins :)

Big day!
I finally feel that Jack is ready for the 1st book in the Harry Potter series! He FLIES through more age-appropriate books in only a couple of hours and has been reading How to Train Your Dragon and following along well. Who knows how he'll do, but we're all pretty excited :)
Jack also learned how to knit tonight using the loom I use. He picked it right up and happily knitted tonight while watching a movie! He wants to make a scarf. He just may finish it by the time of year he might need one. Ha ha.
This week
Let's see.........
The end of year stuff is piling up at the boys' school. That means I get to go there (love that!!!) and teach Theo's class dance moves and do fingerprint stuff for both boys' classes. I put together a knitting auction basket for Theo's class since I'm co-room mom. Now Jack wants to knit :)
Theo started back with swim lessons yesterday and I got him his own pair of goggles. He's got chubby cheeks and not just any pair fit (discovered the hard way). Now he's got sour apple scented goggles from the swim place. When did goggles become scented??
Baseball is in full swing (couldn't resist) and we've graduated to the nice fields. Ones with covered stands and a playground on site for younger siblings. Such a step up from playing on unused soccer fields in the blazing sun. Jack is loving practices with his team and looks darn cute.
The boys were bouncing OFF the walls on Monday and it was raining outside so I popped in a yoga DVD that we had lying around. The boys learned the tree pose and other fun things. Helped channel their energy a bit. Off to the library to get more! Jack has some great balance.
And...... Theo's "raccoon nest" is behind our sofa in the living room. Right by the fireplace. His own little space that gets a bit out of control. Or a lot.
Happy Thursday!

Ferris Wheel of fun!
Aunt Debbie and Uncle Dane gave Jack this awesome ferris wheel kit for his birthday. My boys spent the greater part of this past weekend putting it all together while I was at the festival. The ferris wheel has a motor and a light panel and is quite impressive to watch. Theo filled each seat with Lego men that he put together (and it's in his room) so he is enjoying this very much :)

French Quarter Fest

I worked FQF for the 2nd time this past weekend with cousin Cameron and some of my friends. We switched locations this year but kept with the beverage tent. I worked the cash register, Cameron handled beer orders and distribution, my friends Jennifer and Kelsey bartended, Chelsea worked the daiquiri machine, and Sara and Deb were the drink fetchers. We had a great crew! It was fast and furious work with the large crowd in Jackson Square yesterday. Here are the pictures that we managed to take on various phones :) Looking forward to next year already!

Lulu's
A trip to Gulf Shores is not complete until you eat at Lulu's (Jimmy Buffet's sister). I hadn't been since a trip in the Fall of '10 with cousin Cameron and the boys. They've added this 3 story ropes course since then and Jack HAD to do this! He made a friend on the sandy play area in the front of the restaurant and they both did it together. Jack has made all sorts of playmates this week at the beach. Theo and Dada have been hitting the pool in the afternoon. Jack is more of a beach bum like his mother than Theo.
The key lime pie was delish at Lulu's. Back home tomorrow........

Gulf Shores
I joined the boys at the beach on Monday evening and we've been enjoying the "good life" ever since. The temperatures don't get much higher than the 80's and it's GORGEOUS outside! Jack has taken up body surfing with a group of kids from our condo. He surfed the low waves this morning for 3 hours straight! Theo stays close and either looks for shells or digs in the sand. My kind of guy :)
I got the boys aviator shades from Las Vegas and they are loving them! They've been getting positive feedback from strangers and that makes them want to wear them all the more. Jack especially loves rocking them 24/7. I have to admit that he looks like a cool dude. I keep asking him if he has any girlfriends and he denies, denies, denies.
Tonight we had ice cream for dinner since we had a big lunch. Yep, living the good life :)
