This is what Theo says everytime he sees Elliott, or any animal for that point. D' Ah maybe means "the cat" or "darn cat". Who knows. Mama sent Theo money to buy books for his birthday. We went to the bookstore today and got this book. All about kittens and you can touch and feel each page. He liked it :)

D' Ah?

Why do I even try?
I swear. The boys looked so cute in their Halloween pjs. I just wanted a cute picture of them and this is what I got. One day, SLR cameras are going to be small and cheap, and when that day comes, I'm going to be first in line. I hate flash delays with rowdy kids. Good news, Jack still fits in last years pjs. Theo's ghost glows in the dark, not that you can see it...........

Remember these?
Mimi gave Jack these pjs back when he was about the same age as Theo is now. We had some good times in those pjs and now it's Theo's turn! Of course, they don't look like they'll be fitting much longer. I find that he fits into stuff way earlier than Jack ever did. Which also means he grows out of stuff much earlier too!!

It's beginning to look a lot like......
HALLOWEEN!!! The decorations came down from the attic and Dave put up the giant cat. I decorated around the door (I think it looks pretty cute). Jack and I decorated the windows with glow in the dark stickers. There's even some stuff on the mantle. We went all out ;)
Theo's favorite part of this all was getting up close and personal with Elliott. Dave had to keep saying "sweet hands Theo".
Jack's 1st LSU game!
Dave took Jack to his first ever LSU game. It was perfect b/c it was an early evening game and the weather was comfortable. Jack wore his daddy's LSU ballcap the entire time. He sat in his little seat, from what I'm told, and made it close to halftime. Gigi got him a book called "My First LSU Game" and he saved his ticket. He got to the the mascot, but not Mike the Tiger. Maybe next game ;)

Our view
Our poor little patio, or what is left of it, is cramping my style! I'm ready to be able to walk out of my back door again. Theo, on the other hand, could care less and really just wants to see the cat. He's having horrible diaper issues this week and is on a liquid/BRAT diet (all you parents out there can relate, I'm sure). Can't wait for all of this to pass.............
Hope you like the new look of the blog!
Gigi to the rescue!
Gigi came and saved me this week! I came down with a bad kidney infection that literally crippled me overnight. I'm on the mend now, but I really needed help with the boys for a couple of days. A big thanks also to my friends, Jen and Bob, for taking me to Urgent Care and bringing me back home. Here are some pics from the last couple of days (yes, note the nice plastic bag/window I've been living with since Gustav........ still waiting on the patio getting fixed so the window can get replaced). We had Japanese food last night and Jack learned to use chopsticks. He also helped Gigi sew a hole in his Tiger's tail b/c he was very concerned about that (he naps with Tiger at school).
Jack is all better now but Theo isn't having the best of times. Can we all just be healthy at the same time pleeeeease???!!?

Gangsta Batman?
Our day, part II
We never left the house today! Just watched a lot of tv, did lots of laundry, made an awesome crock-pot chicken (email me for the recipe!!) and laid low. The boys took monster naps and then played together before dinner. We're hopeful Jack is over whatever he had and that Theo won't get it. I gave Theo zofran tonight, just in case.
One of those days
Jack woke up vomiting last night (always fun) and proceeded to throw up a couple more times after that. Needless to say, he's staying home today. He says he feels better now and hopefully he does (thanks Aunt Jen for the zofran from Corinne, you were right, always good to have on hand). We've been laying low this morning since we were up a lot last night. Here's Theo zoned out watching MM clubhouse and eating breakfast and then Jack hamming it up for the camera in his daddy's old helmet.

Feeding the ducks
We have a big pond in our subdivision that is filled with hungry ducks. These ducks are getting more and more bold! They greeted us at the boardwalk before I could even get close to the pond. Theo loves the ducks and has started pointing and saying "da". He sits contently as brother feeds the ducks. Jack sits up high on a table now after some very hungry ducks tried to take food from his hands a couple of weeks ago. Theo's friend, Andrew, joined us for some fun. The ducks sure loved all of our moldy bread from pre-Gustav!
Jack's special day
Today was the big day! Jack and I took his poster to school. I had planned for him to wear his Team Corinne shirt however it's MIA (I'm thinking it got left behind at Mimi's), so Saint's jersey it was. Jack loved sharing his poster with his classmates and even got to bring a favorite book from home for his teacher to read during circle time. I took Jack out for a snoball after school to conclude his special day. What fun!

Bye Bye Billy Ray
Theo was looking a little "mulletish" and the curl I was so hoping for just wasn't happening. The small amount of curls that sprouted didn't counteract the shaggy appearance of his hair. I took him to a local place that has a firetruck for the kids to sit in during the haircut. Theo loved it and sat contently the whole time. Ms. Nancy was very sweet and worked quickly. She even saved his hair for me. Jack joined in on the fun and got a haircut after Theo. When did my boys get so big???
