Merry Christmas

The kids were thrilled to discover that Santa came last night and brought them the items on their list. We drew numbers to open presents until all of the adults were tapped out. The kids continued to open presents for some time after that!! Gigi arrived around lunchtime and then we had lunch (leftovers from last night's feast). The weather was crazy here. It rained all day and had tornado warnings, hail threats, and wind like mad. Now we have to bundle up tomorrow since we have cold weather outside :-)

Santa's Workshop

Mimi and I took the boys back over to New Orleans to Santa's Secret Workshop this morning. It was simply magical!  We were transported to Santa's workshop here in the city. We got to see all of the things that go into pulling off Christmas!  The boys had the best time.

Teddy Bear Tea

We met up with Aunt Dianne, Katie, and Elise for the tea at the Royal Sonesta. The cousins had loads of fun together and with all of the characters there. Mimi was able to join us and relished being with the boys. Such a fun tradition with the boys!

Pre-Christmas in New Orleans

The boys got out of school on Thursday and we drove right on down to NOLA for a couple of days. We stayed at the Royal Sonesta in the French Quarter and did all things N'awlins. We ate wonderful meals at Mr. B's and Brennan's. Took a carriage ride around the Quarter and ate beignets. We wrapped up the weekend by attending the New Orleans bowl with the cub scouts. We go back down for the Teddy Bear tea next!
