I came across the neatest thing on Etsy (like an ebay for homemade items!!) called My Little Seat. Instead of searching restaurants for highchairs that may or may not have functioning straps, I'll start taking this handy invention to lunch/dinner. It took 2 seconds to fit Theo in here and he sat contently for a lunch with his girlfriend, Juliet. The best part about this little darlin is that there is NO way that a child can wiggle free. If you'd like more information or would like to order one for your child, the website is www.mylittleseat.com Enjoy!!

Oh, great!
Here is a cute pic of Jack in the hooded towel that I had laid out for Theo. I love the little ears on the top! In other news, Theo's MDO called today and told me to come pick him up because he had broken out into a rash and wasn't feeling well. They think he has Fifth's Disease due to the trademark "slapped" red cheeks. I'm going to call the ped after their lunch break. If it's not one thing with Theo, it's the other.
*Theo woke up from his nap and the red cheeks were gone. Maybe he just got overheated outside, who knows*

KD reunion

I just got back from a girl's weekend in Dallas with all of my old sorority sisters. I got to see Shannon, my little sis in KD, my old roomies, Lauren and Courtney, and my big sis in KD, Jen. My friend Lauren planned lots of fun events for everyone and here is a group picture from dinner on Friday night. It was fun seeing so many people again since it's been close to 10 years since I graduated from college..... not that it seems that long!

Harry
Jack really enjoyed having a small pet to care for so we went to Petsmart today and adopted a betta fish that Jack named Harry. Harry has a new tank and some mardi gras beads in his place. We fed Harry and right now he's on the counter in the kitchen. I hope Harry lives longer than the fish my roommates and I adopted in college...... some died the same day we brought them home.
Gecko rescue
Jack and I found this gecko in the backyard last week. He was attacked by something (maybe Elliott?) and was in bad shape :( It was freezing cold last week and I didn't want him to die in the cold like that, so we adopted him. The gecko lived in tupperware with leaves, rocks and popcorn to eat and he made a full recovery! Jack let him back out into the wild this morning. Bye gecko!

Shaffer comes to play
Jack's absolute best friend at school is named Shaffer. Yes, Shaffer is a boy. No, his parents are not hippies. Far from it...... he just has long hair. Anyhow, Shaffer's mom had Jack over to play before Christmas and not a day has passed since then that Jack has not either asked to go back or to have Shaffer over to our house! We had Shaffer come over to our house after school on Friday and the boys quickly donned their superhero costumes. I turned Jack's dormer closet into a bat cave by hanging a sheet inside the door frame. The boys had so much fun! I was not allowed up there to take pictures of the bat cave. They also went outside in the freezing weather to burn off some energy. What best friends these boys are!

Playing outside
The weather here has been GORGEOUS lately. Cold, yes, but clear and bright everyday. I bundled the boys up and let them play outside after Jack came home from school. Theo's nose was an absolute faucet, so ignore the fountain of snot. I love my new camera! It has an "active child" setting where you can just continuously snap pictures. I think I got some real keepers today!
Rockabye, hotwheel
I know I've posted before about how much Theo loves to push the baby doll stroller around, but here is what a boy takes for a ride: hotwheels or other toys. Never the baby doll! He picks up the toy of his choice, sets it in the stroller and takes off! It was total action photography because he moves fast. Thank goodness for the quick flash of my new camera!

Croup
Theo just can't get a break in the health department. We've basically been home-bound since his hospital stint last month and somehow he came down with croup even with our precautions. Poor baby just looks pitiful and has the runniest nose ever. I had to wake him up early from his nap to take him to the ped today and he was not happy about that! Good thing is that croup resolves quickly. Here's to staying healthy for a while!

Sunday morning
We're still living the shut-in lifestyle (no big crowds or MDO/church nursery for Theo) for a few more days. He was put on Prednisone in the hospital and we were told that it decreases his body's immune system for a month afterwards, leaving him more susceptible to infection. We took it easy this morning and spent time reading the Sunday paper (Jack discovered the funny pages and loved looking at them) and letting the kids watch "Dumbo". Theo crawled up in the red chair with Jack and covered up in the warm blanket. Our weather can't make up it's mind!!!
Visiting the Boudreaux's
A few friends and I went to see Bride Wars today and Dave took the boys over to our friend's Jen & Bob's house while I was gone. We ended up staying for dinner, which was great since we rarely get to spend time with their family. The kids all had a blast together......... lots of superheroes and princess action going on! Even Theo got in on it.

Playing around
Upgrade!
I took Jack out this morning and got some new Mardi Gras decorations. Dave and I spent literally a whole week throwing stuff away and organizing our house! Now I have room to fill it back up with stuff :) Anyway, we got a Canon XSi camera yesterday and it's going to be my goal to figure it out. Here are a couple of pics that I snapped of our new decorations.
