my best friend ever
I get several comments and questions when I use this out in public. Just wanted to share my little secret with my mom friends. It's been a lifesaver..... especially for the car since Theo eats round the clock!

Sic' em
Jen and I got the kids together this past week while we were in Houston for Thanksgiving. The cousins had a great time playing at Mimi's house with all of the toys she keeps on hand. Aunt Jen got all of the kids Baylor t-shirts when she was in Waco for Homecoming. Getting 3 kids under 3 to look at the camera at the same time (and smile, yeah right) just didn't happen. Still turned out cute though! And no, Theo was not harmed in the process of picture taking :)

Eli the elf
We got the book "The Elf on the Shelf" for Jack last year (complete with resident elf for our house) but he was really too young to grasp the concept.... so on the shelf it sat until tonight! We read the book to Jack and he listened intently. We decided to name the elf Eli and put him up on the mantle for his first night at our house. See, Eli will watch Jack for the month of December to tell Santa if he's been good or bad each day. Eli moves around our house everyday so Jack will always have to look around to see if Eli is watching him. So far this little scheme has worked and Eli's presence ensured a clean plate at dinner, etc.
On a side note, the tree is up and ornaments are hung!
Lehmannfest 2007
The week before Thanksgiving marked Lehmannfest 2007, which was hosted in New Orleans this year. This is a large gathering of Dave's extended cousins from around the world that is held every 3 years. Last Lehmannfest was in Germany in 2004. Theo was definitely the apple of everyone's eye and got to meet lots of new people. Here he is being held by Aunt Kittie and cousin Cameron. One of the events one evening was cajun dancing at Mulate's.... let's just suffice to say that Jack had a blast!

Thing 1,2 and 3

We visited my friend Carrie today and met her twins, Mark and Ella! The twins were born on August 9th.... just a few weeks before Theo came along. They were super cute and dressed in Thing 1 and Thing 2 onesies. Theo made Thing 3 and fit right in over there. I got to hold both babies and enjoy a visit with Matt and Carrie. Jack played with their dog Oatmeal while the babies ate. Thanks for having us over for a visit Carrie and Matt....... your house is beautiful!

Hi, my name is Theo and I am cute!
Theo is just the happiest, most talkative baby ever! If he's fed, he's content. If he's hungry.... watch out! He loves to sit in his kick n play and watch the lights. He's figured out how to kick his feet to make the music play. Not too shabby for a 2 month old! We have conversations for minutes at a time each day. He loves to coo and razz. I just want to eat this baby up sometimes!!!!!

Will work for candy corn

Jack is obsessed with candy corn right now and will do literally anything to earn a piece. He cleaned up the toy room, licked his meal plates clean, etc etc. Dave picked up the new Spiderman movie and got a mask for Jack with the DVD. To our surprise, Jack actually wore it and like it. Here is the outfit that Chi got for Theo.... which is a 3-6 month and fits him well....... and he's screaming in the carseat b/c well, that's what he does when we buckle him in! He's much more content watching football with Daddy.

Friends and football

We had our friends Jen and Bob over to watch the LSU game (Geaux Tigers!!) tonight. Their kids, Dean and Anna Jayne, play so well with Jack (and vice versa). The kids had a blast with each other and we actually got to watch the game in peace! We put them in their pjs and had to snap some pictures. Too bad Theo has devil eyes b/c of the flash. It got pretty rowdy after LSU won the game....... adults included :)

Theo at 2 months
Poor Theo had to get his 2 month shots today. He took them like a champ though and only cried for a second. He's up to 11 lb 13 oz and 23 inches long. His head is an impressive 16 1/8 inches around. That's a ginormous melon! Here are a couple of recent pictures of him. He sure does love that mobile of his!
