Jack had such a fun weekend up in Memphis with Uncle Miller and Aunt Sarah (and Gigi and Dada too!). He loved riding the train there and back and enjoyed all of the treats and lego toys that Gigi stockpiled for him. Uncle Miller and Aunt Sarah had big things planned for him. He helped Miller steer the tractor and ride all around the property, flew as co-pilot in the company plane, fed all the animals, rode the tractor some more, went fishing, planted flowers....... think he had fun?? He wore his rain boots and they came in handy I'm told :) Thank you to Gigi, Dada, Uncle Miller and Aunt Sarah for a wonderful weekend that he's not soon to forget!!

The boys decorated a thank you sign for their counselors on the last day of camp. I coached them to tell their teachers "Thank you so much, I had a great time". I'm not sure if Theo followed through but Jack did and of course he was lavished with attention and praise :) He told me that his teachers told them they loved him and he said "I love you too". Awwww. He's making strides in being more warm and fuzzy lately and I'm loving this (he's a serious little guy- loves being goofy but social pleasantries just aren't his strong suit sometimes). He told Dave and I on the night of our anniversary "Hope you have a nice dinner. Go out and have fun". He also came out as we were leaving and hugged me and told me that he loved me. I thought that was just the sweetest thing ever! What a little gentleman he's becoming :)
My friend Betsy came by today with her baby, Mark. We let Theo hold him and I'm not sure Theo knew what to make of him! He's never really been around many babies but he was very sweet to Mark and seemed to enjoy holding him. He didn't get jealous when I held Mark either which makes me think back to how jealous Jack used to get at this age! Ha.
Camp Kehoe
Theo's counselors gave me a disc of pictures from his two weeks at camp. He was in the 2 year old class and I think most of the kids were a fresh two so he seems so much older (he'll be three in one month exactly!). He had so much fun and I think really relished getting to do something fun, especially with his brother. I didn't get a disc of pictures from Jack's counselors :(

Joe Cool

Here the boys are this morning on the way to the last day of camp. They've had so much fun and I got to see Jack's old teachers from when he went to school there at 2! Jack just left with Gigi and Dada to catch the train to Memphis. They'll be staying at Uncle Miller and Aunt Sarah's house this weekend. Big fun ahead :)

Ella's birthday
Jack's little friend from school had a party today at a kids' cooking school. The kids made their own pizza dough and sauce and then ate their creations! Jack had a blast since he loves to help me cook. The birthday girl wanted "pixie sprinkles" on her pizza so all of the kids ended up doing that too! Jack was covered in flour and cake by the end of the party but had the best time. Happy birthday, Ella.

First week of camp
The boys have been loving summer camp this week (at the school Jack attended at age 2)and have done all sorts of fun things! Jack has gone rock climbing twice and did pottery in between really becoming a strong swimmer. He managed to snag camper of the day, the music high note award for participation and camper of the week!! We couldn't be prouder of him.
Theo seems to be loving camp as well and has gotten pool time as well this week, although he's not swimming on his own :p He also did pottery and got the music high not award for participation. Jack's old teacher, Ms. Mary, stopped by today and saw Theo and left a sweet note for me in his folder. She was so surprised at how big he had gotten since she saw him last (as a 9 month old!!).
The boys have one more week of camp at Kehoe and we can't wait to see what they do next!
