Day 3 of Camp Mimi and Papa and they did not disappoint! The boys went to see a movie and then played at the mall for a bit. Then they had some puzzle and wrestling time (always a hit!) before meeting up with Grandvonnie for dinner :)
Mimi and Papa sure pack in the activities to wear the boys out! They toured the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory in Brenham, Texas and then took the boys to an indoor bounce house that afternoon! In between they made rice crispie treats covered in white chocolate and sprinkles. Jealous yet??
The boys spent the weekend at Gigi and Dada's house and did all sorts of fun stuff like swim at Aunt Debbie's pool and go to the park. Gigi took the boys to Lake Charles on Monday to meet up with Mimi (it's the half way point from Mandeville and Houston). Here are the pictures from today's Camp Mimi and Papa. Think the boys (or the adults) had a good time? Lots of cupcakes, a trip to the pool, puzzles and legos........ I don't think they'll want to come home this weekend!
I went out with some friends to celebrate my 33rd birthday a night early. It was so much fun to hang out with people that I really and truly love, all in one place! Gigi and Dada came to get the boys for the weekend. I'm having surgery on Friday and will be out of commission for a while. Mimi and Papa will pick up the kids on Monday and keep them for a week. Here they are saying goodbye and getting all set to go. I told Theo that we're going to have to get serious about potty training when he gets home. Yeah, right.......... we'll see!!
Theo loves going to childcare at the gym. Sometimes they take the little kids and do toddler yoga with them. Theo was eating it up!!! The picture is horrible b/c it was taken on my cell phone through a glass door, but you get the idea. How sweet is that??
We celebrated America's birthday with some friends from Cedarwood :) Jack is in LOVE with Bekah and Theo and Sarah are chummy little look alikes! Our subdivision always has a great 4th of July party and this year was no exception. A random rainstorm didn't stop our fun. Jack is a fish this summer and I'm loving it! He and Bekah swam and swam some more. There was also a giant water slide but I didn't manage pictures of that :( The kids had a blast together at the pool and then at our house. Dave and Jason were comparing iPhone apps and had my friend Toscha and I cracking up. Hope you all had a happy 4th!!

We've been getting lots of rain from Hurricane Alex so I've been struggling with ways to keep the boys entertained indoors. We had art time this morning and used the art set Aunt Jen sent Jack several years ago. It's still in great shape after all these years! Jack painted a water color picture and Theo sewed in a corner. Why? He poured his juice all in his lunch plate (on purpose) and did not get to participate in art time. He's a mess.
Around here we're called "Mom" and "Dad" but we also go by Leslie and David :)
Jack is 8 years old; he loves playing baseball and is developing into an awesome swimmer. He's Mr. Serious and has such a mechanical mind. We lovingly call Jack the "Sourpatch Kid" because he's sour and then he's sweet :) Jack is learning to play the piano, loves reading books (Maximum Ride is his latest favorite series), and is always telling us jokes or doing magic tricks. He loves his little brother so much and is a great role model for him.
Theo is 5 1/2 and keeps us in stitches around here. He marches to his own beat and loves to draw and paint. He's a total cuddlebug and is constantly telling us that he loves us. Theo is always dressing in costumes and loves playing with his Lego figures! We call him the "Priceline Negotiator" since mealtimes and disciplining him often go round for round on what he's willing to do. He is best friends with his big brother!
