Bike rider

Jack is pedaling really well now on his tricycles. He surprised both Dave and me with this new trick. We asked him when he learned and he told us that Alyssa taught him (she was over the night before he showed us for the first time). Alyssa also taught Jack how to crawl way back when, so we're not surprised that she helped him master this skill too!

You may wonder, why doesn't Jack have clothes on? Well, he's in underwear! Just an afternoon experiment with the potty. It's slowly coming along.......

Holding his bottle

Theo's newest obsession is holding his own bottle or sippy cup. He's very good at it. Normally I hold him in my lap and let him take the bottle, but I had to snap a picture of him doing it on his own! Kinda hard when he's in my lap. Theo soaked through his diaper at nap time (he slept for 3 hours!) so that is why he is naked in the pic. He's growing up too fast!

Sitting up!

Here's a few pics of Theo sitting up and playing with a fascinating toy in our living room. He's always been content to be held or play in the excersaucer, so I never really attempted to have him sit on his own. Well, lo and behold, he can do it. Bad mommy here..... depriving my child!

Sno cones

I love Target! I was shopping for something boring and ended up passing a sno cone maker. I thought the boys would love it so I ended up getting the whole kit and caboodle. Jack earned a sno cone by eating his whole lunch after church, so we headed outside and Dave churned away. Jack loved, loved, loved the sno cone and I could control the syrup (places here drench them with syrup). It's going to be great to have this fun thing to do this summer. Yum yum.

Voodoo game

We drove down to Nawlins last night for the local arena football game. The place was swarming with people (we were surprised, but I guess people love football in any form!) and on our way in, a family offered us their extra tickets! Score one for us! We only had to purchase one extra and our seats were great. Theo was in the bjorn the whole time and enjoyed watching football up close (I snapped a self-portrait). It did get a bit loud and I spent a lot of time covering his ears. Jack had a blast and ate all sorts of arena food (nachos, m&ms, hot seasoned pecans). In fact, the only way we could keep Jack still was to get him to eat. He got super excited by the noise and activity, so we're thinking it will still be a few years yet before he goes to a LSU game!!

YMCA soccer

Jack started playing "soccer" last week with the YMCA 3-5 league. I put soccer in quotes b/c he's not actually playing the game, just running around and having fun. Totally reminds me of when I played intramural softball in college and I'd be out picking daisies and chatting with friends! He has fun and that is all that matters. Today was soggy and cold so little brother was bundled up in the stroller. I'll bring the video camera next week and upload a video of Jack running around laughing.

My photogenic boys!

I took the boys to Target last week and here are a few of my favorite pics! I think they turned out so well, especially considering that I only paid $ 16 total for 8 sheets of pictures! It's worth driving to Baton Rouge for and I don't feel guilty taking them every 3 months or so for pictures. Jack is still quite the ham and loves to sit down and pose. In this case, lay down!

Hope you like the new header I whipped up in Photoshop. That's my newest favorite toy!
