Today we picked up Mimi and Mama from the airport so they could be here to celebrate Jack's 4th birthday with us. Jack went to gymnastics with his dad this morning and then got to open his present from mommy and daddy- a clickstart keypad from Leapfrog. We plugged it into the computer and Jack pretty much played for a couple of hours straight. It's been pouring rain here today so this new toy has been a lifesaver. Jack asked to go eat pizza for his birthday dinner. We came back home and sang "Happy Birthday" to Jack at 5:58 pm, the time he was actually born. Theo loved eating his cupcake and helping his brother celebrate his birthday today. Tomorrow is his party... pictures to follow!

Still alive!
We're all still here. The lack of posts has to do with a fun stomach bug that came to visit this past weekend. Jack and Theo simultaneously started vomiting on Friday right after dinner. Good times. I'll spare you all the rest of the details, but suffice to say that we've been busy doing things that no one wants pictures of!
But Jack's 4th birthday is Friday, so fun pictures on the way!

Happy birthday Daddy
Today is Dave's 33rd birthday! He's never been home on his actual birthday before since it always coincides with a convention in Memphis. This year the convention was moved up a week and we made sure to celebrate in style since he was home. Jack and I baked this cake yesterday and I did my best to scribble the writing on top. Jack picked out the color sprinkles and helped me put the candles on top. We placed the candles in the shape of 33. The boys feasted on cake before heading off to school. Jack only eats the icing off the cake though....... Theo eats it all ;)

Graysen's party
Today we helped celebrate Jack's friend Graysen's 4th birthday at Gymboree. Both boys had a BLAST! We had never been there before but I have a feeling that it won't be our last time to visit. Most of Jack's friends from school were able to make the party and were so excited to see each other since the kids were off all week for Mardi Gras. Theo was climbing and tumbling on all of the mats and bars there.
We were thankful to have something fun to do today since daddy is in Memphis until Sunday. Next we'll be celebrating Dave's 33rd birthday on Monday!
Frozen yogurt
The boys and I met up with Aunt Jen and Corinne on our last day in Houston for some frozen yogurt. The place had the neatest little kids area and the cousins played there for close to 2 hours. The weather turned warm the last 2 days of our visit and I didn't pack accordingly. I went shopping the day before and picked Jack up a couple of polo shirts in youth XS. Well, I put one shirt on Theo and it was long, but it didn't swallow him like it should have!
We had so much fun letting the kids get to know each other again. It's sad that once the kids really warm up to each other, it is time to leave :(

Theo's new shoes
I got the boys matching croc-type shoes today from The Children's Place (a boy clothing haven....... thank goodness b/c there aren't many). Theo loves his new shoes and was so excited to wear them around. Theo is also obsessed with the cucumbers from the food stand at Mimi's house. He carries all three around and will not let go of them, even to drink milk!!!! Crazy kid.
