Christmas party at Cedarwood

Both boys had their Christmas parties at school today. I was a busy mom yesterday getting treat bags together for both sets of classmates! Theo and I went to Jack's party this afternoon and celebrated with his friends. The kids made cute reindeer t-shirts from their footprints and one mom brought in antlers for the kids to wear. I was in charge of the craft and showed the kids how to cut snowflakes from coffee filters. It was interesting! We had a great time at the party and Theo had a blast playing with all of the school toys :)

Jack visited Santa again on Saturday at our subdivision's breakfast with Santa. We didn't even attempt a picture with Theo..... wisely, I'm sure!

Gigi and Dada came to visit for a couple of hours yesterday. Jack was so excited to see them that he was wound up the whole day! Gigi and Jack did lots of fun stuff, like practicing letters and numbers. Jack is getting pretty good at writing these days. The whole gang went outside to play for a long time yesterday, freeing up Dave to watch football and me to read 'Eclipse'. Thanks Gigi and Dada!

This is why my house is never clean! Theo is in the "in/out" stage. He loves to take things out........... and will move on to something else to put in somewhere, just never what he took out.

pop, pop

Theo has a very healthy appetite, to say the least. He has to have a snack twice a day.... or else he turns into a giant screaming machine. I've been giving him popcorn in the afternoons and he absolutely loves it. He comes about it earnestly from his Mimi. He says "pop pop pop" and signs "more". So cute!

Staying busy

Jack has a lot of energy, especially in the afternoons when I pick him up from school. I try and keep him busy with crafts, to pass the time until dinner. It's been challenging to channel this energy with all of the cold weather outside! Here he is decorating a Christmas tree. I even taught him how to draw a star! We have been making a "tent" by pushing the two everyday chairs together and putting a blanket on top. It has been a big hit with the boys so we decided to pull out the Spiderman tent that Aunt Jen gave Jack for his 3rd birthday. That thing is huge, taking up it's own corner of our living room. He loves it though :) And it's a place that Theo won't go near.... even better.

Saying goodbye

Jack had a delayed start at school today so I let him play in the snow one last time. He absolutely LOVED it. It wasn't flurrying like yesterday and it was much easier (and drier) to run around. Jack threw snowballs into the street, ate some snow (hey, he's a boy), played with Frosty, and just had a great time. We sang Frosty the Snowman to our Frosty and Jack hugged him and told him goodbye. All good things must come to an end and with temps climbing into the 50's today, Frosty likely won't be here when Jack gets home from school. So sad :(

Here's a video of Jack from yesterday. Excuse the crying baby in the background. Theo really hated the snow. A lot.
