Amandalyn's Baby Shower

I went to Theo's PPK teacher's baby shower today. The decorations were adorable for baby Landen. It was a packed house, so Amandalyn opened presents for quite awhile. There were several games going on to pass the time. I may have busted people crossing their legs so I could take their pacifier necklaces away, but that doesn't sound like me at all ;-). Most of the PK and 1st grade teachers from school were at the shower. I missed a few that left early in the group picture. I made this mesh wreath for Amandalyn and put items from her registry on it for decoration. Amandalyn can take it to the hospital with her when Landen comes.

Party of 30

I taught 30 ladies how to make mesh wreaths during a potluck get together on Thursday. I had three different stations and weaved around between them. It all worked out well, and the end results were great!  I made one of my burlap creations for the raffle prize. Now my friends are begging for a burlap class :-)

Yay, Theo!

Theo voted at school on Tuesday for "the elephant". We all know how that turned out. He also started a new reader at school. We were all so proud of him. You can see that it was nowhere as proud as he was of himself!!

Pack Meeting

The November Pack meeting was all about community involvement. The boys got to vote for President, make a basket and fill it with food for the food bank, and write on boxes for soldiers. Jack was so proud to vote for Romney. He was devastated when I told him that Romney didn't win this morning. I'm sure he's not the only one who feels that way!

Juliet's Party

Juliet turned 5 on Halloween and had her party today. It had to be moved indoors due to rain, so Granny Gertie came to perform for the kids. They loved her Halloween skit! Theo had a great time, naturally trying on Juliet's wigs.

LSU played a big game against Bama last night. Death Valley was electric. I've never heard the crowd cheer as loud as they did last night! I escorted Gigi to her first game without Dada. We sure missed him, but the Tigers played their hearts out, and that kept us cheering. Look at all that purple and gold! It was a record crowd of 93, 700 something people. LOUD people.

Our Halloween Party

We had some friends over for Halloween. We face painted, ate yummy food, took pictures in the photo booth, played Jack-o-lantern says, put together haunted houses in teams (girls won), and trick or treated!!! The kids paired up into buddies so we could keep track of them better. The point was lost on the boys. The girls held hands and walked the entire time, naturally, while the boys ran around like a pack of rabid dogs. Ha ha. We ended the evening by watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
