More weekend

While Snoopy took a break on Saturday, the kids and I headed over to my friend Betsy's house. Dave and her husband went to the LSU game and we wrangled 5 kids age 5 and under! There may have been margaritas involved....

Soccer Tots

Theo started Soccer Tots on Saturday mornings last weekend. Dave took him and said he spent most of the time running around "like an airplane" but would come back and kick a goal. Yep, sounds about right.

Snoopy returns

Jack brought Snoopy home for a weekend visit this time around! Last time was so rushed that we really didn't do anything fun with him but we've made up for it this time. Snoopy came to the Farmer's Market yesterday and took in a concert with Jack (and left $ in the tip jar) and then took a ride in Dave's truck (he had the van while Theo went to soccer). He had some time to himself while we visited some friends last night :) We got up for early church and got some donut holes. I sent Jack in since the drive thru line was a mile long and he came back with a box of 4 dozen!!!! Snoopy and the boys got to go to town with those donut holes. We then took Snoopy out to lunch and the owner has known Jack since he was a baby. We're going to take it easy the rest of Snoopy's time with us and get down the Halloween decorations from the attic........ I'm sure Snoopy will love it. :)

Black and Gold day

All the public schools are having Black and Gold day in honor of the Saints today! The kids could forgo their uniform today for a $1 donation to the children's museum that is in the works for St. Tammany!!

Jack & Theo's favorite babysitter, Brianne, made them these little gift cards and gave it to them last night. She's the best and they LOVE when she comes to babysit. She took a video last night of Jack doing a magic trick for her :) So sweet!

Lunch date

I really love my Tuesdays and Thursdays with Theo. I think I savor them more now that I know he'll probably be going to school full-time next year. I love the sweet conversations we have and how he just makes me smile :) There's nothing sweeter than when he tells me "I love you, mom" for no reason. Melt my heart!!

Naomi's baby shower

A friend and I threw a baby shower for our friend Naomi today. She is having twin girls in a couple of months and we thought it was worth celebrating! Her little boy and Jack were at Cedarwood together for 2 years. I picked the "cherries" theme to honor the two girls. It was so fun using the red, black and white and adding polka dots! I made the diaper cake (rubber banded each diaper and then rubber banded each tier- so easy! Just cover the bands with ribbon) and the cupcakes. My mom walked me through it. She also taught me how to do the cute toppers. Go Mimi!!

New toy

Theo's friend, Macy, gave him a Blackberry looking toy that teaches letters and sounds. He's smitten with it and played all day long! Jack did as well :) Gigi and Dada swung by on their way home from the beach. They gave Jack some change for his Pennies for Playground fund ;) His poor school is ultra fabulous but definitely lacking in playground equipment (remember, only a year old and that stuff isn't included in what the Parish funds, I suppose). Anyhow, the PTA has raised money all last year and more this week and will buy shade structures and small equipment shortly. Go Marigny!!!
