Morning meeting

Jack presented his book today at morning meeting. He read it to all of the students at his school and then walked around and showed them the pictures he drew. No fear at all.... he loves captive audiences! He inspired a friend from his class to write a book as well and that little boy also presented his book! Go Jack and Garrett!

Dentist check up

The boys went for their 6 month visit at the dentist this afternoon and got good reports all around. Theo was perfect this visit and let the hygienist polish and floss his teeth. I think the tv playing Toy Story above the chair had something to do with that..... Jack also was perfect and got a clean bill of dental health. Go boys!

Aquarium trip

I took the boys to the aquarium today and met up with some friends and their kids. It was a big day for us: Theo was in underwear (always scary when making big trips like this so I had a backpack full of spare clothes) and we didn't bring the small stroller. We all walked. Little by little things are getting easier! Theo did great and stayed dry. Yes, I had to drag him to the potty a couple of times, but that's to be expected :) We almost went to the zoo today and it turns out it rained so good call on our part staying inside!

Author and Illustrator

Jack told me he really wanted to write a book this morning over breakfast about his school. I told him to tell his teacher and he came home telling me that she said that sounded like a great idea! So we went to work trying to find pictures of the construction of his school (it's only 1 year old) but struck out. We improvised and tried our best ;) Jack can write but I have to tell him what letters to use. Anyway, here is the finished product. He's pretty proud of it and can't wait to share it with his class tomorrow. Go Jack!

Starrific!

Jack got an award today for being "respectful, kind, helpful, positive and an all around good guy". He visited the principal and got a pencil and ruler :) We couldn't be more proud of our son. Go Jack!!!

All about Theo

Theo's class is getting to know each other still so his teacher has assigned each child a day that is all about them! I made a poster with pictures and lists of Theo's favorite things. I sent one of his favorite books to school with him today and they read it at circle time. Here he is showing his poster to his friends. His teacher was nice enough to take pictures for me with my camera!

Bag of fun

Grandvonnie and Aunt Robyn sent a present for Theo with Mimi. The bag was as much fun as the gift! Thanks you two!
