Waterspouts

I took the boys to the local waterspouts for the first time this summer and they had a blast! Jack was all over creation and back...... he loves to stomp on the button to make the water come on and then kept busy by filling up his cup and dumping it around or on himself! Theo loved running through the water and also filling up cups with water, but he stayed close when he got too hot. He discovered pretzels today and snacked on them non-stop. I brought home two very hot, tired boys around lunch time. Just in time, I might add, for the sky to open up and rain! Yea for rain!

Water day

I hosted a water playdate in the backyard this morning. It was super hot today but the kids managed to have fun. The popcicles sere a big hit with the kids. Theo would not keep his earplugs in and I was constantly chasing him around trying to collect them from his hands (they were expensive to have made!!). Now the boys are both napping, so that's a sure sign of a good time!

Eating off the floor

The boys have been keeping us on our toes lately. Here they are enjoying a snack on the kitchen floor. At least I keep the place kind of clean :) Theo has also been eating a lot of popcicles. I think he's beginning to cut his 2 year old molars. That or he's just in a permanent bad mood. Jury is out on that one.

Sneak peak

I used my wonderful photographer friend again a couple of weeks ago. I haven't picked up the jump drive yet (she took nearly 700 pics in one hour) but here is a sneak peak of some of the pics she took. Look at those eyelashes on Theo. Melt my heart! I told her to focus a lot on Jack b/c he is so much harder to get cooperation and genuine smiles out of...... enjoy!!!

VBS

We're in the middle of VBS at church this week. I'm in the big kid craft room and Jack stays in the preschool, while Theo chills in the nursery. I have a policy of never working with my own children! What's the point of doing something new if I'm with them 24/7? The big kid craft room is crazy at times since we get nearly 50 kids in some rotations. Here's a pic I snapped of Jack (in the orange shirt) at his music rotation. He's such a born performer. He's loving learning the lyrics to the songs and some movements to go along with them. I never make it back to snap pics of Theo, but then again, he's not doing anything special this year. Maybe next year!!!

Hanging out with Mira

Our friends, Matt and Sarah, had us over this morning and we let the kids have a water playdate in their backyard. Jack loved the slip and slide and Theo and Mira splashed around in the baby pool. Jack also played hide and go-seek with Mr. Matt, who was nice enough to oblige with hiding and seeking. Jack will absolutely wear you out with this game if you let him. Theo and Mira are the same age and play well together. Mira got an eye full of boy rough housing today and was a little scared off. I don't really blame her!

Jack and Shaffer

I got away to the beach with my best friend for the weekend and Dave took Jack camping. Here he is having a playdate with his friend Shaffer before he left to go camping. He and Shaffer are truly best friends! So darling.
