Mimi flew in yesterday for our local Mardi Gras parade and got to spend the morning with both boys at Toddlearn. I let Jack stay home from school a couple of days this week to have special time with Theo and me. I've been taking Theo to Toddlearn every Friday for the play time for a couple of weeks now. Jack took lessons there for over a year and a half and he's asked to go back to play several times lately. He's in school full-time now though and always misses out on the play times. We picked Mimi up from the airport and headed straight to Toddlearn. Jack and Theo had a wonderful time playing, especially with Mimi there.

Cars
Jack and Theo have a lot of hotwheels. Probably hundreds. I bagged about 2/3 of their collection up over Christmas when Jack went to Mimi's house and they have stayed hidden since then. Until today, that is. I had to provide some distraction for the kids while I cooked dinner and nothing was cutting it. I caved and gave them a bag of cars and a hotwheel ramp. My plan worked perfectly and I didn't hear a peep for nearly an hour! And yes, I bagged those suckers back up when dinner was over. Nothing like tripping over 10 hotwheels in the dark....

Sneha's party
Jack's classmate, Sheha, celebrated her 4th birthday today at the gym that Jack takes gymnastics! Most of Jack's classmates were there and it was fun to see them run around and burn off some energy. I got a chance to chat with some of the parents that I see when dropping off/picking up and that was nice. Here the kids are going on the rip cord, waiting for cake, and posing for the camera! Jack is sitting next to his friends Graysen, Shaffer and Jude. Thanks for the great time Sneha!

Holiday overload
I put up all of the boys' school projects this morning in celebration of Valentine's Day...... It looks like we are hard-core Valentine's fanatics. I love all of the sweet things that Jack and Theo's teachers do with them though and it warms my heart to display it. I'm striving to make each holiday a special event that my kids will remember for years to come........ so I think I'm succeeding so far.
I even made blueberry muffins with pink sprinkles today! Call me Martha :) Later tonight we're going to have some friends over for dinner. No sense in braving the crowds tonight!

Doctor Love
I finally found the boys a shirt to wear for Valentine's day. They are both horribly cheesy... so here is the new Doctor Love. Jack was kind of embarrassed to wear it and didn't like being called Doctor Love. Girls have it way easier with seasonal clothing options.
Jack had his Valentine's party at school today. His teachers do so many fun things with the kids. Here is a sample of just SOME of the things that Jack made at school this week. One of the kids in his class (or the nanny I was told) made these cute pig Valentine's for everyone. It was filled with all sorts of stuff too. Some people are just way too creative for their own good! I sent Jack to school with some Fun Dip valentine's and called it a day!!

Time out
Theo is my little bull in a china shop. He's large and in charge (hey, 30 lbs at 17 months...... I'm not exaggerating!) and plays kinda rough. May be a by-product of being the younger sibling, who knows. I had to put him in time out for the second time in his life (I'm starting young this time) for throwing toys. He is strong and I can just see Jack or me getting hurt if I don't nip this in the bud. Here he is facing the corner. Of course I had to grab the camera to document this, hence him looking back (heard the camera turn on). I also saw Theo pushing other kids yesterday at play group, so I'm thinking he may spend a good deal of his days right here in this spot...........
