Phonics fun :-)

Theo's class at school has been really drilling sound/symbol awareness and I've noticed lately Theo asking me "what does that say?" when I'm reading to him. I decided to just take a dry run at the Ultimate Phonics program and see what happened. It begins with the short /a/ sound and breaks up each sound in the words. Theo got through the first lesson and read about 6 words! His teacher told me they are working with blending words ending in "an" in his "reading group". I love his school and teacher!!
