March Madness

Dave and I attended the school fundraiser on Friday night.  Mimi and Gigi offered free babysitting, so we gladly accepted!  I took pictures at the event, and Dave sold raffle tickets all night.  My friend won the raffle (half of the cash jackpot).  We met new people and enjoyed seeing the people we already knew.

Theo's St. Patty's Day

His teacher took these pictures for me. A leprechaun came and messed up the classroom. He left gold candies for the kids. I dyed pasta so the kids could string necklaces. They seemed to enjoy the craft.

Jack's Actual Birthday

Mimi was here for Jack's birthday on Thursday.  I sent dirt and worm cupcakes to school as his special treat.  He wore a "birthday boy" pin all day as well.  He came home from school and opened millions of presents and cards!  Here are just a few.......  We took him out to eat hamburgers (his favorite) and he got to eat another batch of dirt and worms for dessert :)  Mimi and Papa got him a digital watch, which he used to count down to the exact time of birth.  We sang to him in the car at exactly 5:58 pm.  Happy 8th birthday, boo!!!

Indoor Racing

Dave found an indoor remote control car track, so we ventured out to Kenner on Saturday for the afternoon.  Jack and Dave had an absolute blast racing their cars around, over and over.  Theo tried his hand at racing but got discouraged with the handling and speed of the cars.  There were tons of father and son combos over at the track.  I think we need one of these tracks in my house :)

Cousins

We had a cousin get together with Katie, Arnaud, Cameron, Elise, and Amelie.  The men grilled out while the kids ran around outside. Mike and Dianne popped in for a few minutes for a visit.  We love having cousins near by!

Baby Luke

I went to visit my friend, Betsy, when she had her newest baby boy, Luke.  He was a sturdy 9lb 10oz!!

Lauren's Karate Party

We ventured out into the cold for a karate party for Jack's friend, Lauren. The boys used up lots of energy and learned a thing or two. They even sparred in a ring! Lauren cut her cake with a sword :-)
