Fun in Golden

I took the boys to Denver on Good Friday.  My friend, Sarah, picked us up from the airport and took us to her house in Golden.  Her daughter, Mira, and Theo go way back!!  The 3 kids had a blast together and played and played non-stop!  They spent a great deal of time outside on the trampoline, then playing in the basement with Mira's toys, then making Easter crafts...... it was a whirlwind of fun stuff.

We toured the Coors brewery on Saturday.  The tour was self-guided, which meant we gleaned very little about the beer making process with 3 kids in tow. It didn't matter though, we had a great time and it was neat to see.

LSU Baseball Clinic

Jack attended this baseball clinic out at our local ball field.  Some players from the LSU baseball team came and worked on some drills with the boys.  It was well attended!!!  Jack's buddy stayed after the clinic and got a ball signed by all of the players for him!!

Strawberry Patch Field Trip

I organized a field trip Saturday morning for the kids at Lake Castle.  The weather was a disaster, but luckily, the hard rain held out!  The kids had a blast picking strawberries and playing on the farm.  Ms. Heather (the farmer) did a presentation about how strawberries grow.  We had a blast and can't wait to go again next year!!

Theo's Easter party

Theo's class did everything that Jack's class did, minus the chocolate fountain.  His kind teacher took pictures with my camera :)  This age is tough to keep up with during this party.  I give the parent volunteers A LOT of credit!  They ended the day with popsicles outside.  Mmmm.

Jack's class Easter

I helped out with the Easter craft in Jack's class.  They used Mardi Gras beads to make mosaics of crosses, eggs, and flowers.  Later that week was the Easter party.  The kids had a field day and played all sorts of games!  The Easter Bunny visited, and then they feasted.  One parent sent in a chocolate fountain.  It was the hit of the school (and super, duper messy).  They had a blast!

Chick Pics 2013

We did chick pics this year with baby chicks.  The boys had their Easter baskets and had such a great time!!!  Theo tolerated the chicks, while Jack LOVED them.  He wanted to steal a couple.

Jack's Birthday Party

We had Jack's party at Mandeville Sports Complex (I think this makes the 4th party we've had there!) on Saturday.  Tons of his friends from school came and he was THRILLED. We also had friends from outside of school rounding out the guest list.  The kids had an absolute blast!  Gigi and Mimi were there on
