Argentina surprises

Dada went on a business trip to Argentina a few weeks ago and brought back soccer outfits for the boys. He got the sizes just right and Theo wore his new uniform to Soccer Tots this Saturday! They had fun kicking the ball around in the back yard on Thursday. Poor Dave was passing a kidney stone and they had to bring by some medicine for him.

Here is Jack's school picture from this year. I told him to flash dimples (instead of a spaced out, fake smile like he'll sometimes produce). I secretly love getting to spike his hair, which he NEVER lets me do.

Orange Beach 2010

I took Jack out of school early on Thursday and jetted over to Alabama for the weekend. He had a records day on Friday and we made the most of it! The weather couldn't have been more perfect, that's for sure. Warm during the days, sunny without a cloud in the sky, and cool in the shade. Pure heaven. The water was crystal clear and we didn't see a lick of oil (thank goodness). Cousin Cameron came and stayed with us for a couple of days and was good company. She also stayed behind at the condo so I could take Jack PARASAILING!!!!! He loved it and wasn't scared for a second. I was so proud of him :)

Our condo was steps from the beach. Literally, steps. The view was breathtaking and the boys and I enjoyed breakfast on the patio each morning. I think we'll have to do this each "records day" in October!!

Fun around the house

Last Monday was crazy sock day at Theo's school so we made good use of our crazy Mardi Gras leg warmers :) He's also gotten really into stamping these days. Most MWF he comes home from school with his arms covered in stamps (who needs paper, right?).

Cali trip!

I traveled to Cayucos, California this past weekend to meet up with 11 friends of mine. We stayed at the most awesome beach house and enjoyed the hot tub and beach. Sunsets over the ocean were amazing (gotta love being on the west coast). There are so many pictures from this weekend but here are just a few! We traveled to the Hearst Castle on Saturday but I'll have to get the pictures from friends. I didn't bring my big camera and the little one just doesn't take good pictures anymore.

Cousin time

Dave took the boys to Baton Rouge on Saturday for the LSU game. The boys stayed behind and had fun with Aunt Debbie and Uncle Dane. Debbie and Dane had their grandson, Michael, and all 3 boys played and played.

Masterpieces!

I fly out to California tomorrow so Gigi is here to tend to the kids while Dave is also out of town. What a lifesaver! My Mom's club went to Corks N Canvas tonight and painted "The Red Landscape". Bitsy said she'd never picked up a brush.... but I don't buy it!

Mazes and more

The weather here turned Fall-like finally so Jack got to wear his hoodie for school and Theo moved up to Jack's old jeans :) Gotta love hand-me-downs!! They're the best.

Jack really loves mazes and word finds and has started making his own. Dave gave him some graph paper and he has been in heaven ever since. And I've been finding my way through a lot of mazes. It started out small and now it's elaborate and very long. He just whips them together too! I made one for him and plotted and struggled.... oh dear!
