Haven't done this in a while, so here are some things that the boys are doing and saying....
Theo-isms:
He's started saying "okay" in response to me telling him what to do. Cracks me up!
"help eee" for "help me"
"unsnap me" or "buckle me" The boy is obsessed with snapping himself in his carseat or in a highchair at a restaurant.
He's all into his knees and belly these days. He knows all of his body parts and can identify them on drawings!
We've been watching "The Letter Factory" and he imitates the sounds. So cute! Not that he knows his letters yet, ha ha.
He climbs into his car seat and booster seat now. We're working on independence with his daily activities. He goes to the bathroom and climbs on the stool to wipe his mouth and "wash his hands" even though he can't reach the faucet yet.
He told me today "Handy Manny is up next" after he finished watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He still adores Mickey Mouse.
He calls Thomas the Train "Tommy Train". I love it. He loves playing with the train set in his room when he wakes up and before bed.
Theo loves throwing and kicking balls. He perfectly content to chase a ball around to burn off extra energy.
When a show or dvd ends he'll tell us it "skipped". The car dvd was skipping a lot at one point and this is where he picked this saying up.
He loves puzzles, perhaps as much as Jack does, and will sit down and complete his puzzles. He does love to roam off with the pieces so I had to individually bag them up to stay organized.
He insists on using a fork at meals. He will not finger-feed himself anymore. He's very civilized ;)
Jack-isms:
Jack is a curious little man. He asks me the most out-there questions sometimes. Here are a few that come to mind:
"what is in blood?"
"what is Jesus' last name?"
"how do clouds float?"
He is now beginning to ask "how do babies get in your stomach?" The dreaded question every parent fears!
He completely dresses himself from head to toe and loves to race against his brother. Everything is a contest!
He sits at the bar to eat meals. One day Theo will join him there.
Jack says "emember" instead of "remember". Cracks me up.
His favorite saying to be goofy is "eyeball". Everything is "eyeball" when he's joking around.
He loves to say "you're kidding me" when we are silly with him. He can tell when we're not being "serious".
Jack still wakes up bright and early but quietly waits for the rest of the house to wake up. He plays with his Transformers or does puzzles.
Jack is a whiz at figuring out how to assemble things (puzzles, games, etc) and only has to be shown once. Then he can walk you through, step by step, on how to put it together. Sound like anyone you know? :)
Jack LOVES to wrestle with his brother and will egg him on to get Theo to hit him. The boys wrestle all day long and both of them love it. I call it "cage fighting". They'll just lay on top of each other on the ground and giggle away. Boys!
I get to say his prayer at night and then he calls out all of the people we're thankful for- Gigi, Dada, Mimi, Papa, Mama, Ashley, Cody, Uncle Bill and Aunt Sonja, Uncle Miller and Aunt Sarah, Uncle Dane and Aunt Debbie, Uncle Brian and Aunt Jen and cousin Corinne. Sometimes our neighbors, Don and Cheryl, become Aunt and Uncle too! Then he'll say "and everyone on earth". So sweet.
These are just a smidgen of the things that Jack and Theo say and do. They are growing up so quickly that I have to write down some of it before it's gone!
