Happy birthday Anna Jayne!

Jack's friend Anna Jayne turned 3 today and we helped her celebrate! She had a princess party (the boys were pirates), complete with every Disney princess on her cake! Theo hung out with another little fella on the grass. I don't have many pictures b/c I was the designated photographer at the party with a different camera, but here are the shots I did get!

This and that

I went to visit Katie, Arnaud, and baby Elise yesterday while Jack was at school. Theo came with me in the stroller and I must say that he got a twinge jealous when I held the baby!! He gave me the stink eye (I think), but redeemed himself by playing a cute game of bashfulness with Katie. Elise is every bit as cute as in the pictures. She seemed so small, but then again, I've never had a baby that small! Mine come out with a steak in one hand and size 3 diapers ;)

Last night we braved the soggy ground (it's rained here for 2 solid days) and went to a concert in Mandeville. It was so much fun! Jack played with his friend Dean the entire time and Theo flirted with baby Mira (the redhead) and stared at his friend Andrew. Dave didn't get to come b/c he was driving home from Memphis. It was fun to get out with friends and have the kids socialize!

Teacher's card

Jack's last day at Kehoe is Tuesday. He has a performance with is class on Thursday (they're singing and dancing to Rockin' Robin) that we can't wait to see. I had him make a card for his teacher, Mrs. Mary, who is a saint. I swear to God, the only thing I helped him do was the /y/ in her name. He did the rest! We are so impressed with his skills!

Waterspouts

I took the boys to the waterspouts today. It was Theo's first trip and he seemed to enjoy himself. He really just sat in the stream of water and chewed on a cup, but hey, he didn't move around and I didn't have to chase him! Yet. Jack had such a blast and stomped on the button that turns the water on over and over (he let other kids do it last year). When Theo had had enough, we just sat on a towel and watched Jack run around. I'm sure we'll be going a lot this summer!

Yummy sno cone

The weather was just beautiful yesterday so we had our Mother's Day feast outside on the porch. Jack ran around and Theo slept while we ate. Once we finished and Theo was up, Dave made us sno cones........ you can see who enjoyed them the most! Theo's was only ice with a touch of syrup, but he was like a baby bird, opening his mouth for more! When we were all done, Jack and Dada practiced writing more letters and numbers.

First trip to the pool!

We had some down time after breakfast and decided to take the boys to the pool. The temp. this morning was a balmy 78 degrees, so we knew the water was plenty warm. Jack was timid at first, but quickly remembered the joys of jumping into the water. He got a kickboard for his birthday and had fun using it. Theo made use of the baby float that I got back in the days of baby Jack. He was pretty content to suck his thumb and look around. He got tired quickly though and he had to call it quits. Our pool is close by, so Theo sat in Jack's seat on the way home and Jack got to sit up front with us! Fun stuff!
